Steps To Remove Plastic Laminate From Wood

  1. Clean: The first step to remove plastic laminate is to clean the wood using the gentle and nonflammable cleaner which suits the wood better.
  2. Heat: Now heat the surface of laminate wood with the help of heat gun or with a hair dryer. Hot air can make the wood surface smooth and pliable. Be careful before using the heat gun because using heat gun too close for longer can scorch the wood.
  3. Remove Laminate: After making the surface smooth and pliable it’s time to remove the plastic laminate. Use a sharp putty knife for removing the plastic laminate. Lift the knife slightly to raise the laminate from wood.
  4. Dry: Let the wood dry for a maximum of 15-16 hours under the sunlight or directly in fan air. Fan air can dry the wood faster.
