Materials Needed

  • Cloth Rag.
  • Denatured Alcohol.
  • Mineral Spirits.
  • Boiled Linseed Oil.
  • Putty Knife.

Steps

  1. Cloth Rag: The first step to remove paint splatter form wood floor is to Soak a soft and clean rag cloth in warm water. Rub the rag cloth on the affected area for nearly 5-7 minutes if the rag cloth dries then again make it wet. After the rubbing process wipe the area with a dry rag cloth.
  2. Denatured Alcohol: The denatured alcohol works perfect for cleaning the latex paint. Apply denatured alcohol on a clean rag cloth and rub the area that has been affected for 3-4 times until the paint splatter is gone fully from the wood floor.
  3. Mineral Spirits: Take some amount of mineral spirits in a water bowl and dip the soft clean rag cloth in it. Don't wet the full rag cloth use only corners to dip in the mineral spirits. Wipe the affected area with rag cloth until the paint is gone from the floor. Dry the wood floor with a dry clean rag cloth.
  4. Boiled Linseed Oil: Take a water bowl and fill it with boiled linseed oil then soak a clean rag cloth in boiled linseed oil. Press the rag cloth on the paint for nearly 30-60 seconds and wipe the softened paint. Now dry the wood floor with another clean dry rag cloth.
  5. Putty Knife: Use a putty knife to remove paint splatter from the wood floor. Scrape the affected area carefully with putty knife.
