  4. Plastic Putty: Now apply plastic putty on affected area with the help of putty knife and rub the putty for upto 5 minutes.
  5. Wipe: Wipe everything with the help of dry towels. Mix mild soap detergent with warm water and dip sponge and rub the affected area to get the clean and fresh surface of the countertop.
  6. Dry: The final step is to dry the surface of countertop in fan air. Leave the fan open for maximum 5-6 hours.

An alternate way to remove paint from the Formica laminates is mentioned below.
Scrubbing: Prepare the solution with warm soapy water and scrub the surface with the same.
Ammonia Cleaner: Spray ammonia-based household cleaner to the affected area using a spray bottle and follow up by rinsing the surface.
Paint Solvent: Application of the paint solvent is required but makesure to apply the solvent exactly as per the directions labeled on the product.
Scrapping: Use a plastic scraper to eliminate the remaining paint spots from the laminate. Using metal or steel wool pads are prohibited to use for scrapping purpose.
