6 Easy Steps & Items Needed To Clean Mold From Wood Cabinets

Steps

After gathering all the required items, now you need to follow the given steps to finish your work:
  1. Ventilation: First you need to provide good ventilation to your working area, open windows, once done then you need to wear some safety equipment such as hand rubber gloves, face mask and eye goggles, because this mold can harm your health if you inhale the impure air.
  2. Spray Bottle: Next you need to fill a spray bottle with the solution of some hot water and non-ammonia based cleaner or you can also fill it with commercial mold remover. Spray the surface of your wooden cabinets with selected cleaner & scrub it exhaustively with the help of a stiff brush to remove the mold from cabinets. Take an old toothbrush to get into corners & hard-to-reach areas.
  3. Wipe: Now you need to wet your clean rag with some clear water and then wring it out. Wipe this cleaning solution residue out from your wooden cabinet & dry it out with a clean dry rag.
  4. Combine: Next simply combine 1/8 cup of bleach(chlorine) with 1 quart of cool water in a spray bottle. Use up to 1/2 cup of bleach if the cabinet interior is also made of wood.
  5. Spray: Spray your wooden cabinet now, particularly any areas that still show the signs of mold, with the help of the bleach created solution. Coat the surfaces exhaustively but avert spraying so much that you create wet runoff or puddles.
  6. Soak Up: Finally soak up any extra bleach solution by using a clean, dry rag, after it has soaked on your wooden cabinet surface for 15 minutes. Leave your wooden cabinet doors open for air drying & allow the cabinets to dry entirely within a 6 to 8-hour period. If your cabinets are drying slowly then you can also use a fan to speed up the drying process.
