Steps To Get Rid Of Linoleum Adhesive/Glue From Wood Floor

Here are the steps that customers need to follow in order to remove linoleum adhesive from wood floor:
  1. Gather Tools And Material: The customers need to collect all the material and tools like floor scraper, utility knife, and heat gun that are required for removing linoleum adhesive from wood floor.
  2. Cut The Linoleum: The customers can use a utility knife for cutting the linoleum in smaller sections. The customers need to cut the top portion of linoleum carefully without damaging the flooring.
  3. Use Floor Scraper: Now customers can put the floor scraper edge below the cut marks and the scraper is pushed forward with short pushes and the top layer of the linoleum is removed and some adhesive may come out.
  4. Heat The Adhesive: Now customers need to apply the heat to the remaining adhesive on the wood floor. This can be done by using a heat gun which is turned on and settled on to a high setting. The heat gun should be kept three inches away from the glued wood floor.
