Steps To Fix Bubbles From Hardwood Floors

  1. Floor Buffers: The first step in the process is to use the floor buffers with the medium-abrasive screening pad, the floor buffers are easily available at the hardware as well as home improvement stores at rent basis.
  2. Sanding: Now turn the floor buffer on start from the farthest corner in the area and sand in the directions of boards. The screening pad will help to grind off the polyurethane finish and will remove the unsightly bubbles as well. It is advisable not to allow the floor buffer to stand still while it's on, in one place as it can damage the floor.
  3. Vacuum: Once the sanding is completed then Vacuum the area so that all the dust is removed.
  4. Fine-abrasive Pad: Now use the fine-abrasive pad to the floor buffer and sand again, after that remove all traces of sanding dust again with the vacuum cleaner.
  5. Polyurethane Finish: Now open the can of the polyurethane finish and stir well with the help of the wooden stick. Apply the polyurethane with the help of the paintbrush in an even manner then leave the finish to dry for almost a night.
  6. Buff: Once the finish is completely dried than buff the area with the help of the extra fine sandpaper, the sanding will help the second coat to adhere better, and the finish will have no bubbles. After the sanding vacuum the area to remove all the sanding dust.
  7. Second Coat: Now apply the second coat of the finish with the paintbrush, before walking on the floor allow it to dry completely for almost 48 hours.
