Procedure

  • Turn The Water Supply Off: Start by turning off the supply of the water and then check beneath the sink to find out the water shutting valves. Then the users need to rotate each water valves in the counterclockwise direction. If in case they are having the vanity that does not consist of the shut-off water valves or in case the water valves are not working up properly and is entirely failed to turn the water off then they are advised to shut off the main supply of water.   • Detach The Trap Drain: The users need to place the bucket beneath the assembly of P-Trap placed below the sink. The P-trap can be filled up completely with the wastewater and that is why they need to be very careful while they empty it within the bucket. Usually, the P-trap assembly consists of the three parts, one is the straight most portion that is united with the pipe that is spread down the sink, the U-shaped portion, and the other straight portion that us having an elbow united with the drain pipe. They need to detach the P-trap by unfastening the 2 exterior nuts one will be placed over the pipe of sink and the other one is placed on the elbow piece. The users need to rotate the screws in the counterclockwise direction until they are unfastened. Then they need to drive off the screws far from the pipe ends and then smoothly detach the assembly of the P-trap. The users need to place the rag within the opening of the pipe so as to seal that portion, by this the users will easily prevent the gas from getting flowed within the room.
  • Detach The Mirror: Then they need to detach the mirror of the vanity. If in case the mirror is glued with the surface of the wall then they need to leave the mirror in that place as it can easily damage it.
  • Trim The Caulk Joints: The users need to use the utility knife so as to trim within the caulk where actually the top of the vanity meets up with the surface of the wall and with all its corners in between the cabinet and countertop. The users also need to trim within the caulk where actually the surface of the cabinet meets up the surface of the wall.
  • Detach The Vanity Top: Finally the users need to detach the countertop of the vanity and one common option is to leave up the faucet in the place. They need to check beneath the top of the vanity so as to see whether there are the brackets or the clips that might hold up the countertop with the cabinet & the vanity. Then they need to unfasten and detach the brackets. Then they need to pull off the frontmost countertop edge and if it is not getting separated then there might be the possibility that the cabinet corners are glued. The users can easily try to lift up the countertop by applying a generous amount of pressure.
