Steps To Refinish Wood Veneer Cabinets

Here are some of the steps by which the customers can easily refinish the Wood Veneer Cabinets:
  1. Gather All The Materials And The Tools: The customers need to start by gathering all the materials and the tools they require while performing this procedure like Screwdriver, Brushes, Polyurethane gloss, sandpaper and Newspapers.
  2. Remove All The Hardware: The customers then need to detach all the metal hardware from the cabinets like hinges and knobs by using the screwdriver in order to detach the cabinet doors. They need to place the cabinet doors on a flat surface covered by the newspaper.
  3. Use The Sandpaper: The customers then need to use the sandpaper and rub it gently over the surface of the cabinets and the doors in order to remove the old finish from the doors and the cabinets. The customers then need to remove all the dust from the surface of the cabinets and the doors as well.
  4. Apply A Layer Of Polyurethane Gloss: The customers then need to apply a thin layer of the Polyurethane gloss to the entire surface of the cabinets and the doors as well by using the soft paintbrush. The customers then need to allow the gloss to dry completely for near about 1 complete day.
  5. Apply The Second And Third Coat Of Polyurethane Gloss: The customers then need to use the sandpaper and gently rub it over the surface of the cabinets and the doors in order to buff the first coat of the Polyurethane gloss. The customers then need to apply the second layer of the Polyurethane gloss to the cabinets and the doors. They then need to let the gloss dry completely before applying the third coat of the Polyurethane gloss.
  6. Re-attach The Doors: Once the Polyurethane gloss is completely dried the customers need to re-attach the doors to the cabinets by using the previous knobs and hinges respectively.
