- Large canvas dropcloth.
- Pinking shears.
- Long upholstery needle and matching thread.
- Hammer.
- 2 cans sprayable adhesive.
- Upholstery pins or strip.
Steps
- Cut: The first step to recover the armchair is to cut the large drop cloth into big pieces to cover the surface of an armchair easily.
- Fold: Now fold the pieces of big drop cloth on the armchair and apply glue on the corners, then put the pieces of drop cloth on the corners of the armchair.
- Sprayable Adhesive: After that spray the adhesive over the surface and the corners of the armchair.
- Apply Fabric: After applying the Sprayable Adhesive on the top and the bottom of an armchair, attach the fabric on the armchair and cut the extra fabric from the edges and corners for perfect fitting.
- Hammer: Now pin the Upholstery pins or strip at the top and bottom of armchair with the use of hammer.
- Hand Stitching: After doing every step successfully the armchair fabric still needs some hand stitching with a small needle. Start needling the corners of the armchair with the matching thread of the fabric for the armchair.
