7 Easy Steps To Recover A Glider Rocker Without Sewing

The users can easily recover the glider rocker without sewing by following the below-described steps:
  • Step 1: The users need to start by using the seam ripper or by using the sharp-edged scissors to carefully detach all the buttons from the glider rocker cushions. The users also need to cut the seams that are going from the base and the side of the rocker glider cushion. The users need to be very careful while cutting the seams or the buttons so as to reserve the real fabric and only cut the thread of it accordingly.
  • Step 2: The users then need to detach all the cover from the rocker cushion by using the sharp-edged scissors or by using the seam ripper so as to detach it into primary pieces. Then they need to place these trimmed pieces over the top surface by keeping the fabric wrong side upwards and the other side towards the downwards.
  • Step 3: Then they need to trace out all the size dimensions of the old trimmed fabric pieces over the new fabric by using the chalk or the fabric pen so as to highlight the tracing lines. Then use the scissor again to trim out the traced pieces of the new fabric accordingly.
  • Step 4: The users then need to lay together the two new trimmed fabric pieces towards their right side upwards. Then the users need to fasten the pieces by using the high-grade fabric glue. They need to position their seam too close to their primary thickness of the pre-existing seam from that detached cover. The users are advised to allow the one corner of the seam to remain un affixed and it should be near about ten inches long.
  • Step 5: The users then need to cut all the unneeded fabric from the outside area of the seams. The users are advised to trim the slit cuts at the edge of the pillow cover in a way that it should be adjacent to the seams accordingly. The slit cuts are crafted so that it will help in crafting the uniform looks at the cover edges respectively.
  • Step 6: The users then need to flip the cover of the cushion towards its right side outwards within that left hole near the seam. Then they need to fill up the cushion cover with the soft filling material and then the users need to fasten that leftover area by again using the fabric glue.
  • Step 7: If in case the old cushion cover consists of the button then the users need to affix the buttons again at the same place over the new cushion cover.
