A wood table can last for generations if properly taken care but there are several factors that can affect the wooden table one of which is heat marks. The heat marks can happen on the wooden table if the user places a hot cup of tea, takeout box, or casserole dish directly on to it. The tips to protect wooden table from getting heat marks are as follows:
  1. Avoid Placing Hot Things Directly On The Wooden Table:
    The user needs to avoid placing hot things directly on the wooden table. In case, the wooden table is used for dining purpose, the user needs to cover the entire table top with a protective pad or else he can place a hot pad underneath each hot dish.
  2. Place Wooden Tables Away From Direct Sunlight:

  3. Maintain Room Temperature:
    It is necessary to maintain the temperature of the room to keep the wooden table from drying out. The recommended temperature is 70 - 75 degrees Fahrenheit along with 50% - 55% of humidity level. If the wooden table dries out, it can split as well as crack easily.
  4. Keep Wooden Tables Away From Heat Sources:
    Heat sources can damage the wooden tables most such as radiators, heaters, etc. It has been recommended by the experts to keep wooden tables away in order to protect wooden tables from getting heat marks.
