Steps

After collecting all the required items now you need to follow all the given steps to paint a rusted a metal cabinets:
  1. First of all, you need to prepare your working area around your metal cabinet. To do this you just need to lay the traps or the plastic sheets over your flooring or on the other surfaces surrounding your metal cabinets. If your metal cabinets are attached to your wall then you need to use masking tape to secure a newspaper onto the area to protect your walls.
  2. Next it's time to rough the surface of your metal furniture with the help of sandpaper (120 grit) or you can also use steel wool. You need to work from the top down to make sure to get the whole surface of your metal cabinet sanded. Don't forget to do the inside of your cabinet's doors.
