The particle board seems like the solid wood in appearance but it is actually composed of the wood particles and the adhesive. Mostly the particle board painting requires the sanding process but it is also possible to paint the particleboard furniture without getting engaged in sanding.
Simple Steps To Paint Particle Board Furniture Without Sanding
The particle board furniture can be painted without the sanding process using the following steps:
- Cleaning: The cleaning of the furniture is a must with the help of the damp cloth.
- Primer: Once the surface is cleaned application of the oil-based primer is required. Application of the oil-based primer eliminates the need of the sanding or roughing of the particle board furniture.
- Roller: Use paint roller for primer application to get the best results.
- Dry It: Primer needs to be dried for 2 hours and for best results wait for 12 hours.
- Varathane Floor Finish: Once the paint dried application of the Varathane floor finish needs to be applied to the furniture.
- Allow It To Dry: Allow at least 12 hours waiting time to dry after each finishing coat.
Steps To Refinish Laminate Without Sanding
The laminate furniture can be refinished without sanding with the steps mentioned below:

Primer: For refinishing the laminate apply the primer first and let it dry for a couple of hours or overnight.

Painting: Once the primer dries apply the paint over the furniture with the help of the angled paintbrush and foam roller. Treat the hard to reach areas with the angled paintbrush and rest of the area using a roller. Approximately two coats required.
3.
Double Coats: Double coats of painting required for satisfactory results. Make sure, to give drying time in between the coats.

Sealing: Wait for the paint till it dries completely and once done seal it using the polycrylic. The polycrylic is wonderful sealer and comes with great endurance. One best property of this sealant is that it will not turn yellow with the passage of the time.
