Preparing Oak Cabinets

  1. Scrub: In order to remove the dust and grime that has built on from many years, prepare a solution of the strong detergent mixed with water and scrub the area with a sponge. The detergent must have grease-cutting properties.

  2. Sanding: After the primer is dried then sand the area lightly with 220-grit sandpaper. After wiping it with the tack cloth, apply the second coat of the primer and wait for 24 hours.
  3. Paint: Now the next step is to apply the coat of latex white paint with the help of paint sprayer to doors and drawers. Use the foam roller to apply the paint from the inside, allow the paint to dry completely. After that apply the second coat. Let the last coat dry for nearly 5 days.
