  1. Cover: The first step is to cover the surface of working area with a drop cloth. Covering the floor will protect it from getting stains on the floor.
  2. Sanding Coffee Table: Medium grit sandpaper(100-120) is recommended to sand the surface, corners and the legs of the coffee table. The users can also use the palm sander.
  3. Cleaning Dust: Start vacuuming and clean the dust from the table and also from the floor. The vacuum cleaner will clean the dust instantly and will save time. Rag cloth is also useful for cleaning.
  4. Painting The Table: Choose the matching color for table. Use chalk paint for a coffee table because the chalk paint is shinier and dries easily. Use a paint sprayer to paint the coffee table.
  5. Giving Vintage Look: Let the paint dry first then apply another coat of chalk paint and allow the paint to dry then start sanding the edges and corners of the coffee table to give a vintage look to the coffee table.
  6. Apply Polyurethane: After following every step carefully now apply polyurethane on the coffee table and let the polyurethane to dry for nearly 7-8 hours. Again sand the corners, legs, and surface of coffee table to give final finish for the vintage look.
