Step By Step Process To Chalk Paint A Chandelier

The chandelier looks very attractive that also makes space look more inviting. If the owner wishes to change its color without replacing it, that time the best option is to use the chalk paint for painting the chandelier. The proper step by step process to chalk paint a chandelier is mentioned below:
  1. First of all, the user needs to gather all of the supplies like the chalk paint from a local store or can be ordered from an online shopping site. The other very important item that the user will need to have is a chalk paintbrush but it must be of good quality. The last thing that the user needs is the clear and the dark wax. After that before heading to the job it is important to clean the chandelier with a cloth, to remove all the dust from the surface, if the dust is not cleaned then it can get stick in the paint job.
  2. Now remove all the bulbs from the chandelier, this is because if the paint drips on the bulb then it can get messy and is not easy to clean, also in this step the user can tape the area that they do not want to paint.
  3. After that, start the painting job. The chalk paint dries very fast so be sure about applying the second coat, usually give an hour between the 2 coats. While applying the chalk paint the user needs to make sure that the paints have covered all the chandeliers completely and also the chain as well as the ceiling plate. The important point to note is that after the first coat it may seem that work is not clean but it will start become clear after the second coat.
  4. After the above step is done and both the coats are applied and are dry next, add the clear wax. If the user is not adding the clear wax before the dark wax then they will be not able to fix it if they mess up. So that is why it is important to give the chandelier a coat of the clear wax. This is a very easy part of the process.
  5. Finally, apply the dark wax. Simply add the dark wax and then quickly rub it off with the help of an old rag until it will look nice. Apply the 2 coats of the dark wax to get the desired look. At last, remove the tape from the area if used.
