Method 1: Moving Islands Without Power, Water Or Gas

Here are the 5 easy steps for this process:
  1. First of all, you have to remove any loose shelving or drawers from your kitchen island.
  2. Next, from underneath of your island, get rid of all the screws holding the counter top to the island or holding pieces of the counter top together.
  3. Now get rid of the counter top using pry bar in order to pry off a glue that is applied to the counter top.
  4. You also need to get rid of the fasteners, if there is any, holding the base of your kitchen island to the floor. If it would be accessible to remove your kitchen island in sections, but it doesn’t get apart easily, employ the retaliate saw to cut the supports.

  4. Remove the sink & faucet together or independently.
  5. Leave the water lines in place for connection to your new kitchen island.
