How to Sew/Make an Ottoman Cover?

Here are some of the steps by which the customers can easily Sew an Ottoman Cover:

Step 1: Trimming the Top Side

1. Iron The Upholstery Fabric: The customers need to start by laying the damp cloth on the iron board and then the customers need to lay the interfacing fabric over the top of the damp cloth. They then need to lay the upholstery fabric over the top of the interfacing fabric and then the customers need to press the fabric by placing the hot iron over it for near about 15 seconds. The customers need to repeat the procedure so that the interfacing fabric will intermix with other fabrics.
2. Place The Ottoman: The customers then need to place the top side of the ottoman over the top of the upholstery fabric. They then need to draw out the size dimensions of the top side of the ottoman on the fabric using the fabric pen or the chalk as well.
3. Trim The Fabric: The customers then need to trim the fabric by using the sharp-edged fabric scissors. They should leave half inch fabric on all sides of the upholstery fabric.

Step 2: Make the Side Panels

1. Calculate The Height Of Ottoman: The customers need to calculate the total height of the ottoman and they then need to add near about 4 inches to the total height of the ottoman for the seam adjustments. The customers then need to calculate the exact measurements all around the ottoman and they then need to add near about 1-inch to the total around measurements of the ottoman for the side seam adjustment as well. The customers then need to sketch the rectangle on the upholstery fabric as per the calculated measurements by using the long ruler and the fabric pen.
2. Trim The Rectangular Part: The customers then need to trim the rectangular portion on the upholstery fabric by using the sharp-edged scissors.
3. Sew The Side Panels: The customers then need to fold the trimmed rectangular fabric portion and then stitch the end by using the sewing machine accordingly.

Step 3: Finish the Cover

1.Pin Up The Top And The Side Panels: The customers then need to place the top and the side fabric respectively on the ottoman and they need to pin up both the pieces. The customers then need to sew the top and the side fabric panel together with the help of the straight stitch.
2. Place The Base Panel: The customers then need to bend the base fabric panel in order to build the hem and then they need to add Velcro to the base fabric panel of the ottoman if they want to enclose the hems beneath the ottoman.
