Steps To Make An Envelope Pillow Cover
Here are some of the steps given to make an envelope pillow cover:
- Wash And Press Fabric: The first step is to wash the fabric needed for making the pillow cover and allow it to dry, and make sure that the fabric does not shrink. If the customer is not able to wash the fabric then the customer should steam press the fabric in order to achieve the nice shape of the pillow cover.
- Tools Needed: The tools that are required for making envelope pillow cover includes fabric, Scissors, Ruler, Measuring tape, Sewing machine, pencil, and Sewing pins.
- Measure Pillow Cover: Take measuring tape and measure the dimensions of the pillow and cut the pillow cover according to the specified measurement. Cut the three fabric pieces, one for the front side and other two pieces for the back side.
- Measuring And Cutting: Now turn over the fabric and place the wrong side of the fabric in an upward direction. Then take a pencil and mark the outline on the fabric and use scissors for cutting.
- Hemming The Back: Next step is to press the edges of the cover and press the edges by using clothes iron and then Start to stitch the hem.
- Sew Back Cover And Main Cover: Now stitch the main cover with two back pieces. Place the main cover on the flat surface with correct side upwards and place one piece of the back cover on the main piece with the wrong side upwards and align the edges with the pins. Place the other back piece on the main piece and attach pins at the edges. The two back pieces should overlap with each other and then stitch the edges of the fabric cover.
- Stuff The Pillow In Cover: Last step is to turn the right side of the pillow cover upwards and insert pillow in the cover.
