Easy Way To Make A Padded Ottoman

1. Assemble: The first step to make A Padded Ottoman is to make a base and to do that attach the two longest side sections on the top with the angle braces and 16mm screws.
2. Adding The Sides: The next step is to add the sides, now attach the smaller section in the same way as for large sections, to secure it add the angle braces. However, the user needs to make sure that there is enough space for mounting the foot battens.
3. Install The Feet Battens: Now the user needs to attach the feet battens, for that use the piece of 44mm wide PAR pine, then place the piece over the corner and mark underside with the pencil for cutting purpose, these battens will support the feet.
4. Foam: Now its time to cut the foam for cushion, measure the top area of the Ottoman and cut the foam accordingly.
5. Add Batting: Cut the batting for the base, simply place the base on the batting and leave enough batting for the sides to cover its height. For all corners use sharp scissors. Now staple the sides of batting only with the staple gun.
6. Cut And Attach Top Fabric: In order to cut the fabric for the top, simply place the base on the fabric and cut accordingly with 5 cm extra fabric, once the fabric is cut then put it at the top and start stapling from one side. To give the corners clean and nice edge, simply tuck every corner and secure with a staple.
7. Add Side Fabric: Begin adding the fabric to the sides carefully by folding beneath the top edge.
8. Staple Fabric To Box Frame: In order to staple the fabric inside, carefully turn the box on its side.
9. Strip: Now to finish the box add the Upholstery Strip.
