Proper Procedure Of Making A Mitered Bed Corner

Mitering bed corners is one of the best innovations, as well as a practice, that is popularly being practiced in the army, for cleanliness, and in hospitals, in order to make the patients feel comfortable. It is a method that can be used to design a sharp as well as a smooth corner on the bed, where, more often than not, grooves would be left by non-fitted sheets. This process is very easy to perform yourself, but you only need some practice & you can also take some help from the people who have served in the army & worked in the hospital. In order to make a mitered bed corner yourself, then go through the simple & easy below-mentioned steps carefully:
  1. The first and foremost step is to put on the fitted bottom sheet on the bed, extending the elastic over one corner of the bed. Then, extend the other elastic corner to the corner, at an angle, opposite to the first one. Repeat the same process on the other two corners, dealing successfully with the wrinkles as you proceed. If in case you are not using a fitted sheet, then go through the rest of the steps below in order to miter the corners for both your base as well as top sheet.
  2. Position the top sheet in the middle of the bed, slowly opening it out as long as it is covered evenly over each side of the mattress.
  3. Upraise the part of the sheet that is attaching over at one corner of the bed, grasping it straight up so that it forms a triangle. Move the triangle tight smoothly with one hand and at the same time using your other hand to form a sharp corner on the sheet in opposition to the bed.
  4. Put down the triangle on the mattress, and put in the sheet left hanging near the corner you are presently working on. Put it as smoothly and neatly as possible, in order to make sure that the mattress is positioned flat against the bed frame.
  5. Drop the triangle in a way that it is placed parallel to the side of the mattress. Put it in, in order to form a neat, tight corner. Repeat the above steps on each & every corner.
  6. Finally, miter the corners of the top sheet as well as the bedspread, by following the above-mentioned steps. If in case you are using a duvet or a comforter, then this step is not mandatory.
