4 Easy Steps For Installing The Carpet Without A Knee Kicker

A knee kicker is a small tool that is used to refine the carpet so that it fits the space perfectly. Although when using the knee kicker, the user first needs to prepare the floor by making sure all the nails and boards are flush. Steps

  1. Tackless Strips: The first step that the user needs to do is that tackless strips around the edges of the area that are to be carpeted. Here the user needs to leave a gap of about ½-inch between the walls and back of the tack strip and a gap of ½-inch between the entryway of the room where the carpet will stop and a threshold and back of the tack strip.
  2. Carpet Pad: In the second step the user needs to cut the carpet padding with the help of the utility knife into an exact size that will fit the room.   4. Then Jump towards the edge of the room using the shoes and then move into forwarding momentum to stretch the carpet.
