- Put the cabinet locks on the drawers. If the child likes to climb on everything, then take an extra precaution by placing cabinet locks on the drawers. This way, they can not be pulled out of the dresser to tip over. This extra precaution will also help to prevent the drawers from becoming steps for children.
- It is advisable to prevent children from pulling out the drawers more than two-thirds of the way simply by installing stops. The pulled-out drawers can easily shift the weight of a dresser and can fall over.
