Follow the below given steps in order to install Vinyl Flooring Planks:
Preparing The Old Flooring
- Measure: First the user needs to measure the area of the working area and for this purpose use the measuring tape and the user will get the accurate size of the working area.
- Remove: Remove anything in the corners and the edges of the working area which Can stop the user to applying vinyl on floors.
- Old Flooring: If there is any old flooring in the working area then remove it to install new vinyl flooring planks.
- Paper Template: To make the work easy make a paper template on the corners of the working area as this will help the users for perfect fitting of vinyl flooring.
- Underlayer: Place the under layer plywood sheets in the working area and leave the plywood for 2-3 days. It will acclimate the plywood sheets in working area humidity.
- Install The Underlayer: After that it’s time to install the under layer plywood sheets. Use the wood staplers with 7 inch staples and use hammer on it.
Applying The Vinyl
- Pattern Decide: First decide the pattern of vinyl flooring. Vinyl flooring planks is having 12 inch square tiles.
- Gluing: Start gluing the floor and cover entire area of the floor.
- Install: Remove the film which has been applied on planks and store the planks on floor. Vinyl planks take 2-3 days to have perfect fitting.
