Steps To Install Glue Down Vinyl Plank Flooring

To install vinyl flooring below given steps need to be followed:

Step 1: Preparation

Before installing the vinyl plank flooring certain steps need to be followed and make the floor free from dust particles.
  1. Remove Existing Floors: The first step will be to remove the old flooring. Use a scraping tool horizontally and remove the existing flooring without damaging the subfloor.
  2. Level Your Subfloor: Next step is to check the level of the subfloor. If the subfloor is damaged or has any holes then the customer needs to fill the holes with caulk carefully and repair the damaged floor.
  3. Clean The Floor: Then clean the floor surface and remove the dust particles by using a broom and clean the remaining dust particles from the floor surface by using a vacuum.
  4. Measure And Plan: Then measure the dimensions of the room in which the floor installation is to be done. Then mark the boards from both sides with the help of box cutter.

Step 2: Installation

  1. Direction Of Boards: The vinyl plank flooring boards should be installed in a parallel direction and the customer can start from the left side of the room.
  2. Lay Down Flooring: Some vinyl boards already have adhesive on their backside. While installing the vinyl plank flooring the customer only needs to peel the back coat and then the sticky surface appears. Then place the board on the floor by rolling it down on the floor and press the board with hands on the ground.
  3. Trim And Molding: When the flooring is completely finished the customer can place the molding back to their places.

  1. The vinyl floor installation should be done slowly.
