The moisture barrier should be applied in such a way that no gap exists there and the whole floor area should be covered with the moisture barrier. Use tape to put the moisture barrier of seams together.
  3. Install The Pad: Now install the pad on the floor surface and cover the entire floor. Use tape at the edges of the pad and cut extra pad along the wall.
  4. Start Laying: Now start laying the floating hardwood floor on the concrete subfloor. Start from the corner and place one board on the top side of the pad and put a wedge between the board and the wall. Then lay the board on the less wide side of the wall and place a wedge between them. Smoothly move the ridges and hollows of two boards with one another and continue the step of laying boards on the pad in a vertical row.
  5. Making Cuts: Measure the size dimensions of the row and cut the boards according to the specified size by using a saw. Then put the board into a particular gap.
  6. Continuing: After completing the first row start laying the board in the next row. Use adhesive in the grooves so that the boards attach with each other. Continue this procedure until the entire floor gets covered with the boards.
  7. Finishing Up: The last step is to take away the wedges from the room and cover the gaps by using baseboards.
