Steps To Install Filler Strips

  1. Start by cutting down the filler strip according to the needed length using a miter saw.
  2. Cut the filler strip to width, as needed, with the help of a table saw that should have a fine tooth saw blade.
  3. After cutting both sizes then clamp the strip to the cabinet using a cabinet claw.
  4. Now the next step is to drill a pilot hole with the cabinet claw bushing.
  5. Using the narrow head trim screw connect the filler strip and set the cabinet in place.
  6. In order to remove the excess material use the belt sander.
  7. At last fit the cabinets and make the necessary adjustments and hide the gaps using the putty.

Steps For Installing Cabinet Filler Strip Against The Wall

  1. Cut the length and width of the filler strip by the miter saw and fine-tooth blade.
  2. Using the cabinet claw carefully clamp the filler strip to the cabinet.
  3. Now in this step the user needs to drill a pilot hole that should be completed through the cabinet frame and also partway into the filler strip. The user is advised to use a drill bit to the size of the screw shaft. Now use face frame screw to connect the cut strip to the cabinet.
  4. In case of the upper cabinets place the cabinet on the cabinet jack.
  5. Take a sharp pencil that should have scribe then level the cabinet and run the pencil against the wall towards down to the entire length of cabinet filler.
  6. If there is any material on the wall side of filler strip then use the belt sander to remove that.
  7. At last fit the cabinet and make minor adjustments, in case there is anything wrong to the filler strip, adjustments are needed for a perfect fit. Hide the small gaps by filler putty
