Procedure
- Measure The Length: Start by measuring the awning length by using the measuring tape so as to find out the awning location.
- Mark The Length: Then start calculating the measurements from the patio to near about eight feet by using the measuring tape. The users need to mark each two feet awning length by using the pencil and then they need to connect up the marked spots by using the chalk line.
- Find The Stud Locations: The users then need to locate the position of the wall studs that are placed in the outer areas by using the stud finder. Once wall studs are located they need to mark down the location of the studs over the siding of the vinyl by using the pencil.
- Place The Board Over The Marked Area: The users then need to lay the 2/8 sized board on the outer wall at the chalk marked area so as to use it as the headboard.
- Drill Up The Holes: Then they need to drill the holes within the headboard at the stud location by using the electric drill and then they need to insert the bolts within each drilled hole and then secure them by using the socket wrench.
- Note The Bracket Position: Then they need to calculate the measurements of the awning and then note down the exact position of the affixing bracket support and then the users are advised to transfer all the calculated measurements over the header board.
- Affix The Brackets: Then the users need to place the affixing brackets over the header board in the wall stud position and then drill the holes within each affixing bracket of the header board.
- Secure The Bolts: Then they need to lay the affixing brackets at the drilled holes and then insert the bolt. The users are advised to fasten the bolts by using the socket wrench.
- Fit The Awning With Brackets: The users then need to fit the retractable awning within the affixing brackets and after that, they need to affix down the bolts from the awning base within the drilled holes. Then secure the lag bolts by using the wrench and then affix the awning with the affixing brackets.
