Steps For This Process

  • First of all, you need to install the weatherstripping onto the bottom edge of your bottom door panel. The installation procedure varies by manufacturer, so read the guidance provided with your garage door. The weatherstripping is a seal that averts water & outside air from entering your garage.
  • Next you need to attach all the brackets for the cable to your bottom door panel by following all the manufacturer's guidance regarding the placement of all the brackets & the decisive installation method. The cable is part of the mechanism that opens & closes your door.
  • Place your hinges into position on the top edge of your bottom door panel and the side that will face inside your garage. Now you need to drill pilot holes through with the screw holes in the hinges, then screw the hinges to your door panel. There are unremarkably 3 hinges, with 1 on each side & 1 in its middle.
  • Place your bottom door panel across the opening for your garage door, intensify it over the opening. Position your door with all the hinges on its top, facing inside the garage, and the weatherstripping on the bottom.
