Step By Step Process Of Installing Backsplashes To The Bathroom Vanity Top

Step By Step Process

  • Use The Sandpaper: Start by sanding down the wall where the users are planning to install their backsplash. If in case the users are having the textured wall then they need to use the 120-grit sandpaper in order to smoothen the surface of the wall.
  • Clean The Wall: Now clean off the wall that will be at the backsplash back by using the cleaner so as to get rid of the dust and the debris particles. Then allow the wall to get dried off completely.
  • Use The Adhesive Material: Then apply the construction adhesive material in the ground motion at the backsplash backside within the center and at the ends as well. Then the users need to position the backsplash adjacent to the wall and then align the backsplash in a way that the backsplash ends will eventually align with the outer vanity top corners.
  • Wipe The Unneeded Adhesive Material: After that, lift the backsplash adjacent to the wall and then wipe down the unneeded adhesive material that comes out below the backsplash by using the old rag.
  • Apply The Painter's Tape: Now apply the tape over the top of vanity where it eventually meets up with the backsplash and to backsplash base as well. Then the users need to leave the three by eight-inch gap in between the tape pieces.
  • Trim The Tube End: Then trim the silicone tube and the bath caulk by using the utility shears. The users are advised to trim the tip at near about forty-five degrees angle as much as close to the tip end.
  • Hold Up The Caulk Tube: Now hold up the tube of caulk at the forty-five degrees angle to the gap in between the backsplash and the vanity. Keep on applying the caulk within the gap while imposing the smooth pressure.
  • Use The Paper Towel: Then soak up the paper towel into the clean water. Then rub the cloth along the caulk bead while the users are pressing down the caulk within the gap in between the vanity and backsplash as well.
  • Lift Off The Tape: Now lift off the tape within the backsplash and from the top of the vanity as well. Then wet the paper towel with the clean water and run the towel on the caulk so as to smoothen the edges.
  • Allow It To Dry: Finally the users need to keep on applying the caulk at the backsplash edges where they eventually meet up with the wall. Then let the caulk adhesive to get dried off completely for near about one day before even using the top of vanity.
