Two Easy Ways To Increase/Raise The Height Of Coffee Table

The users need the right tools in order to lift up the coffee table. In addition to the right tools, they can add the extensions or the feet to the legs of the coffee table. The users can also add the wooden extension or they can easily replace the legs so as to make sure that they can achieve their desired height. The users can easily increase the height of the coffee table at home by following the below-mentioned ways:

Way 1: Table Top Adjustment

  • Measure The Coffee Table: Start by measuring the coffee table top and then buy the table topper made of the glass as per the size dimensions of the surface of the table as deep as possible.
  • Place The Spacers: Then the users need to place the rubber or the wooden spacers or the feet beneath the glass over the tabletop surface at the edges as this will easily hold up the glass top higher than the existing surface of the table.
  • Examine The Height: Then they need to set the glass over the surface of the table and then examine the height. If required the users can also use the tall spacers so as to increase the height.

Way 2: Table Legs Adjustment

  • Turn The Table: Start by turning the table and then mark the central point of the table leg as the base.
  • Drill The Holes: Then they need to drill the hole at each length of having the depth of one inch.
  • Trim The Dowels: Then the users need to trim the dowel of the suitable size of near about half-inch in the diameter so as to use these as legs.
  • Use The Wood Glue: Then they need to apply the wood glue at the one edge of the peg and then fix it into the drilled hole as far as they can and then repeat the same procedure for all the legs.
  • Use The Wire Or Stick: Then the users need to calculate the width of the inner hole of the wood balls or the finials by simply inserting the wire or the small stick as far as they can and then mark down the surface depth accordingly.
  • Trim The peg: Then they need to trim the peg as per the length of the table legs. Then they also need to test fitting of the wooden ball by pushing it downwards to the dowel as tightly as they can till it flushes with the leg base. Then they need to trim the pegs as possible so that the wooden balls will flush perfectly with the leg base.
  • Paint The Leg Extenders: Then the users need to detach the balls and then apply the wood glue at the peg ends and then replace each peg and then clean up the unneeded glue till it won't dry properly. Then they need to apply the paint to the leg extenders of the table by using the matching stain or the paint and then allow it to get dried off completely.
