Two Easy Methods To Get Black Stains Out Of Wood

If you have any type of stains on the wood surface then don't think about it too much, just follow the given methods and remove any type of stain from your wood. Here are the two methods and steps for this process, follow them carefully to get the best result of your previous work:

Method 1: White Rings

  1. First of all simply take an iron and empty your iron from all water. Now lay a towel, t-shirt or any other cloth over the stain affected area because this will act as a barrier betwixt your table and your iron. Turn your iron in low mode and then rub it slowly over the cloth for a few seconds and then lift your cloth to check if the stain has dissipated. If it is still there then, replace your cloth and repeat the step.
  2. Simply rub the stain by using steel wool and the lemon oil. Soak fine steel wool pad in lemon oil. Very mildly, rub the wool pad over the white ring stain affected area and then rub it by using a cloth dabbed in denatured alcohol.
  3. You can also try toothpaste for this type of stain. Simply place the toothpaste on your finger or on a cloth and then rub toothpaste according to the grain of the wood until it heats. Next, dampen a cloth in water and then you need to wipe the toothpaste and dry the leftover water.
  4. Your hairdryer can also be very useful in this type of issue. You just need to grab your hairdryer and turn it on high mode and then hold your dryer near to the stain affected area. The stain will start disappearing now as your hairdryer dries the remaining moisture. Just make sure to move your hairdryer back and forth over the affected area.
  5. Oil-based products are also helpful for this type of stains. Products with oil such as petroleum jelly, butter, and the mayonnaise help seep into your wood and will also break up moisture. Simply place any oil-based products like petroleum jelly or mayonnaise on the stain. Leave the applied product for 1-2 hours.
  6. Cheap and easy way is to use baking soda. Mix baking soda with some toothpaste or you can also use water to remove the stain. If you are going to use water then mix 2 parts of baking soda with 1 part of water and then you have to use a rag to slowly scrub the stain.

Method 2: Other Stains

  1. If you have dye stains on wood then you can use baking soda to remove them easily because the baking soda is one of the best cleaning agents. In order to get rid out of dry stain, simply mix some baking soda with lemon juice or distilled vinegar.
  2. Make a paste that is the compactness of toothpaste and then spread it on the stain affected area. Now you have to use a sponge to slowly rub it on your wood. Once finished now you have to wipe the baking soda paste from the affected area and then simply rinse the area with the help of a rag and plain water.
  3. You can also use dish detergent in order to remove non- greasy stains from the wood. If you have food and nail polish stains then you need to use dish detergent. Simply mix this soap in water and then you need to soak a rag in this solution and then rub it over the stain affected area.
  4. Ammonia will be the best option to remove the greasy stains from any wood surface. If you have a greasy stain then take some cold water and then mix a little amount of ammonia, stir it well and then cover your rag with this mixture and then you have to rub the rag slowly on the stain affected area.
  5. If you are facing pet stains issue on your wood item then you can also clean it with the help of the bacteria-killing solution. When your pets mess on your wood floors then bacteria must be removed from it because the bacteria will leave a stain there. To remove this type of stain, you just need to use a phenol solution( 5 percent), simply take a damp, soft cloth and clean the stain affected area with the phenol solution.
  6. If there are any permanent marker stains on your wood item then you can also remove them easily with the help of isopropyl alcohol. You just need to place small amount of this alcohol onto a clean rag and then you have to slowly rub the stain affected area to remove it easily. Once finished rubbing now wipe the area with the help of a damp rag and then you need to rinse the area.
  7. Removing the black stain from the wood is a time-consuming method but the bleach can do this work fast. In order to remove the black stain from your wood then you need to use Oxalic acid( found in wood bleach and household cleaners). First, you have to strip the stain affected area with the stain of the finish for treating it.
  8. Simply you have to mix this oxalic acid mixture in water to create a thick paste. Always remember that never try to use a metal bowl for this work because the acid can cause discoloration in the metal bowl. Apply this mixture to the stain affected area by using a rag or you can also use a disposable paintbrush to do this. Let sit this mixture until it dries wholly. Repeat this process until the stain disappears from your wood but you need to rinse the affected area betwixt every repeated step.
