Procedure To Get A Smooth Finish When Painting Kitchen Cabinets

Here are some of the steps by which the customers can easily get a Smooth Finish When Painting their Kitchen Cabinets:
  1. Gather All The Materials And The Tools: The customers need to start by collecting all the materials and the tools they require while performing this procedure like a screwdriver, air compressor, stain, spray gun, sandpaper, air nozzle and semi-gloss lacquer.
  2. Remove The Hardware: The customers need to detach all the doors and the drawers from the cabinets by unbinding all the metal hardware like hinges, knobs, and the screws by using the screwdriver.
  3. Use The Sandpaper: The customers then need to use the sandpaper and rub it vigorously all over the surface of doors and to the interior surface of the kitchen cabinets as well. They need to keep on rubbing the sandpaper until the customers won't feel a smooth texture on the surface of the cabinet doors and on the interior surface of the cabinets as well.
  4. Use The Air Compressor: The customers then need to Spray the kitchen cabinets and the cabinet doors as well by using the air compressor. The customers should attach the air nozzle to the air compressor in order to get rid of all the dust traces on the surface of the cabinets.
  5. Use The Spray Gun: The customers then need to use the spray gun and then fill it up with the semi-gloss lacquer. They then need to place the gun to inside areas of the cabinet. The customers then need to spray the uniform layer of the lacquer to the interior area of the kitchen cabinet by gently moving the spray gun in the up, down, back and the Forth motion.
  6. Spray The Exterior Areas Of Cabinets: The customers then need to use the spray in the uniform coat of the lacquer to the exterior areas and the doors of the kitchen cabinets as well. The customers then need to allow the lacquer to dry for near about 15 minutes. They then need to turn over the cabinet doors and then spray the surface in the same manner accordingly.
  7. Use The Sandpaper: Once the lacquer coat is completely dried the customers then need to again use the 220-grit sandpaper and rub it gently over the entire surface of the cabinets and doors as well. The customers then need to apply the coat of the lacquer to the entire surface of the cabinets and then let the lacquer to dry for half an hour.
  8. Repeat The Same Procedure: The customers need to repeat the same procedure of sanding and spraying lacquer until the customers won't achieve the velvety finish on the kitchen cabinets.
  9. Re-attach The Doors: At last, the customers need to re-attach the doors to the kitchen cabinets by using the saved hinges and the knobs accordingly.
