How To repair The Leather Couch?

Beautiful and expensive leather couches if left untreated can result in the cracks and will lose its grace. Hence, it's very important to take the necessary steps in order to repair the cracks on an immediate basis. The few ways to repair the leather cracks are as follows:
  1. Cleaner: The dehydrated cracked leather requires the proper conditioning in order to repair the cracks. This can be done by spraying the good quality cleaner on the cloth and rubbing it over the sofa. This will rehydrate the leather and will repair the cracks too.
  2. Dry: Let the leather dry after the application of the cleaner completely.
  3. Conditioner: The good quality leather conditioner needs to apply over the cracks using a sponge or soft cloth rub thoroughly to treat the cracks.
  4. Repeat: Rub the conditioner for the second time for more effective results.
  5. Dry: Allow the conditioner to dry completely for approximately 2 hours and if the cracks are not faded than repeat the conditioning again.


Fake/Faux

The fake or faux leather can be fixed as per the following instructions:
  1. Sanding: Smoothly sand the cracked area using frayed.
  2. Interior Latex Paint: Latex interior paint over the leather piece using foam roller.
  3. Re-Sanding: Resand the furniture after painting using fine grit sandpaper.
  4. Repaint: The sanding and painting process must be repeated for four times.
  5. Buff Wax: Apply the paste wax over leather.
  6. Baby Powder: The baby powder needs to be dusted on the wax for more effective results but is not mandatory.
