Below are the easy steps to fix the Buckling problem in laminate flooring:
  1. Look For The Cause: The First step in fixing the laminate flooring buckling is to assess the cause of the problem, usually the buckling is the result of the increased tension between the boards, this is caused by the increased humidity, mostly the tension occurs around the walls, and to rectify the problem simply decrease the tension.
  2. Remove Molding: The next step is to remove the molding that is fixed around the base of the room, use the hammer and screwdriver to remove, the removed molding will have to be put back, so remove with care.
  3. Replace The Spacers: The next step is to replace the spacers when the flooring has installed the spacers were used between the floorboard and wall. Simply replace the old ones with the smaller ones. This will give the floor more room to expand.
  4. Push Buckled Area: The next step is to push down the peak or buckled area if still it will not disappear than use the smaller spacers until the peak is not disappeared.
  5. Reinstall: Once the peak or buckled area is no more then reinstall the removed molding to its corresponding location with the hammer and finishing nails.

This technique is also used for gaps between the floorboards, if that is the case then simply use the large spacers in place of the smaller ones which will eliminate the larger ones.
