Procedure

  • Apply The Household Cleaner: Start by applying the household cleaner to the soft sponge or to the soft rag and then use this damp rag to clean up the area all around the crack. Then rinse the area with the water and then make it dry by using the dry towel or the dry rag.
  • Sand Down The Area: After that, the users need to sand all around the cracked area by using the fine-grit sandpaper and then wipe down the sanding dust by using the rag.
  • Paint Down The Area: Then paint down the cracked spot by using the adhesive material or the bonding agent from their repairing kit. Then the users need to use the soft brush that eventually comes along the repairing kit or they can also select any other brush of their choice. Then cover up the inner area of the crack and the one-inch space all around the battered portion. Then allow the bonding agent to get dried off completely as per the manufacturing instructions.
  • Fill Up The Cracked Spot: Next the users need to fill up the cracked spot by using the filler material and in order to apply the filler material, they need to use the putty knife. Then scrape off the tub surface by using the knife so as to detach the unneeded putty all around the cracked area. They need to press down the fiberglass cloth within the epoxy gel by using the hands and slowly run their putty knife all across the cloth of the fiberglass so as to detach the air bubbles and they need to be assured that the cloth is very smooth and will lay flat adjacent to the wall of the tub.
  • Apply The Sealer Coat: Finally the users need to paint down the cloth with another epoxy gel. Then apply the sealer coat that also comes up with their repairing kit by using the small-sized paintbrush.
