Method 1

  1. Purchase: First of all Purchase the filler compound that should be of the same color as the wood. Besides that buy the crayon-shaped wood filler sticks or wood putty.
  2. Push: Now the next step is to fill the holes with the filler using the fingers. If the filler stick is available then rub the sticks over the affected area, in order to spread the material over the crack use the putty knife or a chisel.
  3. Overfill: It may seem useless but it is important to overfill the gap with the filling material, the overfill will help to blend the crack more effectively at the time of sanding.
  4. Smooth: Before the filling material dries flat it with the help of the putty knife. After that let the filler dry.
  5. Sand: The next step is to sand down the excess filler, Sand with the help of fine grit sandpaper, continue the sanding until the crack is flat.

Method 2

  1. Sawdust: In this method get the sawdust that makes the wood. It is used to blend the crack and hide the white glue. For the best blend get the sawdust from the affected piece of wood by sanding or by sawing.
  2. Wood Glue: The next step is to get the bottle of the wood glue and squeeze them into the crack until it is full.
  3. Sawdust: Now the step is to cover the wood glue with the sawdust, the user needs to lay a good amount of the saw dust to cover the area.
  4. Dry: Leave it dry for overnight, once it is completely dry the crack should not be visible, in case it is visible than repeat the process.
  5. Sanding: Now the step is to sand the area with the grit sandpaper like between 120 and 220 grit. Continue the sanding until the affected area is flat.
