Steps To Fill Cracks In Wood With Epoxy
Below are given some simple steps in order to fill the cracks in wood with epoxy:
- Protection: The first step is to cover the mouth by wearing a mask and work in a properly ventilated area.
- Masking Tape: If there occurs cracks on the wood use a masking tape to cover those cracks.
- Hardener And Resin: Now take epoxy, it is packaged in two components hardener and resin. Put equal amount of both in the bowl. Do not mix them yet as it hardens when combined.
- Wood Color: Then add few drops of wood color to the epoxy to match with the color of the wood.
- Stir: Pick up a stick or spoon and quickly start stirring the epoxy parts together and it will change into a paint.
- Apply The Mixture: Then apply the mixture onto the cracked area with the stick or spoon.
- Let It Dry: Leave the epoxy to dry overnight on the wood surface.
- Remove Extra Epoxy: Then level the wood surface by removing the extra epoxy with the help of sandpaper.
- Colored Marker: At last, use a colored marker on the dyed area to hide the cracked stain.
