  1. Cleaning: Ensure to clean the furniture piece or table from all dirt and grime to make the surface ready. Cleaning with the mild dish soap is highly recommended.
  2. Sanding: Sanding using high grit sandpaper is recommended.
  3. Denting: To get divots and grooves use a hammer and other tools. Doing this will create a more natural and distressed look.
  4. Sander: In order to smoothen the grooves and dents the application of the sander is recommended.
  5. Chalk Paint: Prior application add a very little amount of the water to it in order to dilute it.
  6. Application: Smoothly apply the chalk paint using the brush in the direction of the grains and allow it to dry.
  7. Second Coat: Once the first coat dries the application of the second coat of the chalk paint is required to get a more aged look.

  11. Buff: Buff the table or furniture to get the shiny distressed look.

Easy steps to paint kitchen cabinets without sanding are as follows:
  1. Cleaning: The kitchen cabinets need to be cleaned from all dust, grime, and dirt using the grease cutting cleaner.
  2. Liquid Deglosser: Pour the Liquid Deglosser on the clean towel and apply it over the entire drawers and cabinets in the circular direction.
  3. Remove Doors/hardwares: All doors, drawers, and hardware need to be removed.
  4. Inside Cabinets/ Shelves: Remove inside cabinets and shelves and clean the same.
  5. Paint Back: Paint back side of the cabinets using white cabinet enamel in thin coats.
  6. Small Brush: Apply the paint to the hard to reach areas and moldings using a small brush.
  7. Front Side: The front side of the cabinets need to be painted. Let the cabinets dry completely.
  8. Second Coat: The second coat needs to be applied only after the first coat dries completely.
