Futon mattress is a type of mattress that is a very lightweight that can be folded very easily. One of the biggest problems with futon mattress is that it gets dirty very quickly and in order to clean dirty futon mattress, the user needs to follow two below given methods:
Regular Cleaning
- Vacuum: Vacuum is the quickest way to deep clean the futon mattress from dust particles, First futon mattress needs to be unfolded and then the users can use a vacuum cleaner.
- Deodorize: Futon also smells after few days of cleaning so it is necessary to deodorize the futon with the help of baking soda.
- Spots: Spots can easily remain during the cleaning process, so if there is any spot on the futon clean it with mild laundry detergent and hot water.
Removing Stains
- Blot Stains: Sometimes there are blots remaining on futon like cat urine, clean the remaining blots and stains with sponge and paper towels.
- Vinegar/water Mixture: Now mix the half cup of vinegar with cup of water in a bucket.
- Baking Soda: Now before applying the vinegar/water solution on stains, Sprinkle some baking soda over the affected area.
- Dry: After cleaning the affected area with vinegar/water solution let the futon dry over a day. Sunshine’s are useful for drying the futon mattress. Hair dryers can also be used for a fast process of drying a futon mattress.
