Steps For This Process

  1. First of all, you need to lay a piece of cardboard flat on a substantial surface. Unroll your roller blind. Be sure that the blind material sits flat and your entire blind, including the round top section of your roller blind, sits on top of your cardboard.
  2. Now you need to measure the width of your window opening with a tape measure. This includes the frame surrounding the window glass. Deduct 1 inch from the comprehensive frequency.
  3. Hook the end of the tape measure on the cap of the blind's round top section, which has an angulate metal pin lengthening from it but never hooks the tape measure on the metal pin.
  4. Next you need to pull your tape measure across your roller blind and then you need to use a marker then you need to place a mark on your blind at the width you wish the blind to be.
  5. Mark the required width at multiple points along the length of your blind fabric. Align a straightedge with the width marks. Drag a marker along the straightedge to create a line along the entire length of your blind fabric.
  6. Cut along the marked line on the fabric with a pair of scissors until you reach the upper rod of your blind. Cut through your blind's rod with a hacksaw to absolute the resizing of your roller blind.
  7. Next, slider the tip of a flathead screwdriver betwixt the end of the rod cut from your roller blind and the inside edge of the cap containing your round pin, which is attached to the removed section of your roller blind rod. Twist your screwdriver handle to pop the cap free.
  8. Align the inside of the cap with the opening of the rod on your blind. Tap the cap moderately with a mallet until the cap flange sits tight to the end of your roller rod. Wrap your blind fabric around the rod before installing it on your window.

Warning

Don't cut off the end with the perpendicular pin, the mechanism keeps tension on your roller blind, which allows your blind to repudiate.
