Method 1: Calculating The Size Dimensions Of Quartz Countertop

  1. Measure The Area: Start by measuring the area of the home where the users are going to install the countertops. Then use the retractile measuring tape in order to calculate the actual width and the length of the Countertop. Then pen down the actual size dimensions of the countertop on a blank paper so as to remember the measurements during the cutting process. Then attach a metal lip on one end of the measuring tape so that to make it get attached to corners of the cabinets.
  2. Add Extra Few Inches: Once the users have taken all the measurements then they need to add an extra 3.8 cm to actual size dimensions of the cabinets for the overhanging process. If the users want their countertop to get flushed with any electrical appliances like a refrigerator or a stove then the users don't need to add any extra inches to that side of the countertop where they are going to install the appliance.
  3. Mark The Sink Area: Then the users need to mark the sink area on the countertop by using the maker. Start by measuring the size dimensions of the sink and mark the measuring lines over the top area of the countertop in order to point out the sink area respectively. Then add the sink measurements to the actual countertop measurements.
  4. Place The Countertop To The Upside-down: Once the users are done with all the measurements then they need to place the countertop towards its upside-down area. They need to place the countertop over a cutting table and the users are advised to set up the sawhorses accordingly. Markdown all the calculated size dimensions on the underside area of the countertop. Avoid making the top side of the Countertops. Use the grease marker and the straight edge to mark down all the measurements.

Method 2: Cut The Marked Area With A Circular Saw

  1. Wear Up All The Protective Things: While cutting down the countertops it can release the toxic chemicals that are very dangerous for the human body so that is why it is advised to the users to wear the mouth mask, hand gloves, and the goggles in order to protect them from breathing in those harmful chemicals.
  2. Use The Circular Saw: The users then need to affix the diamond blade to their circular saw as the diamond blade provides the speckless cuts. Start by detaching the rotating nut from the saw that is located at the center of it and then gently affixes the diamond blade into it.
  3. Trim The Countertop: Before cutting down the countertop the users are advised to affix the clamps at the edges of the countertop so that the countertop won't get displaced from its original place.   • Use The Plunge Saw: Start by placing the plunge saw over the top area of the marked lines and then start the cutting process and repeat the same process while cutting each corner of the sink area on the countertop. The users are advised to use the grinder to cut away all the excess area on the countertop.
