How To Clean Zero Gravity Chairs: Different Cleaning Methods Of Zero Gravity Chairs

Different Cleaning Methods Of Zero Gravity Chairs

Zero Gravity chairs are the kind of chairs that usually recline like a La-Z boy and are regarded as the best option for those people suffering from back pain, due to the reason that they permit you to put your feet up. These types of chairs are typically composed of a text line fabric, which is then put up with bungees, this material is long-lasting and perfect for the outdoors. The long-lasting nature of the material means it can be cleaned easily without damaging the fabric. However, the material cannot be eliminated from the chair, therefore, it may not be possible to thoroughly clean it. There are different cleaning methods when it comes to cleaning your zero gravity chairs. Go through all the methods mentioned below carefully in order to achieve your desired result:

Steam Cleaning

  • First of all, clean the fabric of the chair with the help of a portable or hand-held garment steamer. You just need to fill the chamber with clean water and point or direct it at any stains or dirty areas.
  • Steam cleaning is having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics for chairs that do not have removable materials. Hot steam is also a great option when it comes to killing germs and bacteria that may be in the fabric.
  • One of the disadvantages is that steamers need to be plugged in, which in turn means that you will need to bring your dirty chairs indoors or use an extension cord to reach outside.
  • Small steamers can generally provide several minutes of continuous steam, therefore, it may take several treatments which can be time-consuming to clean the entire chair.

Spray With Alcohol

  • Take a plastic spray bottle & fill alcohol or ethanol in it before applying it to the chair’s fabric. Then, permit the chair to fully dry in the sun.
  • You may need to repeat the process several times in order to get the desired & intended results. Always make sure to test the alcohol treatment on a small, unnoticeable area of the chair to ensure that it doesn’t result in discoloration or damage to the fabric.

Vinegar Treatment

  • Just like alcohol, vinegar can also be filled in a spray bottle and then spray onto the mold or mildew affected areas. It is not necessary to dilute the vinegar with water, however, you can if you want to. After spraying, clean the chair down with the help of a sponge in order to remove the vinegar.
  • After spraying the vinegar, it is time to make the chair dry in the sun. There is also a possibility of the chair retaining the smell of vinegar instantly after being cleaned, but this should disappear with time.
  • In order to prevent a strong vinegar smell, clean the chair with soap after the vinegar treatment, before allowing it to dry in the sun.

Vacuum Cleaner

For those chairs that are dirty but don’t have a bunch of stains, you can use your household vacuum cleaner having the attachments in order to get a deep clean. Use the brush attachment for long-lasting as well as durable fabrics and the upholstery attachment for more delicate materials.

Hydrogen Peroxide

You can easily remove the stain with a hydrogen peroxide mix, however, it is not effective or successful on grease or oil stains. But, it works exceptionally well for stains that are caused by food, tea, or coffee, and other organic stains like grass. It disinfects and helps to get rid of the odors too. Combine or put together two-thirds water with one-third hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and spot treat the stain. Allow it to sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes, which is totally dependent on the toughness of the stain, and then soak up the excess moisture with the help of a towel.
