3 Different Ways To Clean Your Wooden Doors

1st Way: Cleaning Minor Dirt And Grime

  • You can also use liquid furniture polish for cleaning your wooden door. You just need to apply the liquid furniture polish on your surface of wooden door & use a clean dish cloth in order to rub it according to the wood grain because this will help you to get rid of any stains & restore the wood natural sheen.
  • Steam cleaning machine can also work, you simply need to take a steam this machine with you and attach a hose on it and then add a bit of soap to the bristles at the end of the cleaning machine. Spray the steam machine at the stains affected area on the dirty wooden door & move it to back & forth across the stained portions, by doing this the dirt should be invisible.
  • If you want to remove any old paint or varnish from your wooden door then you need to sand or you can also use some chemical strippers to remove the layers of paint.

3rd Way: Preventing Future Damage

  • First of all, you need to make the wood dry thoroughly. When cleaning the wooden doors with some water or other liquid cleaners, be sure that you let the wood dry, if your wood is not sealed properly, the moisture can cause the wood to warp or stain over a short period of time.
  • Re-stains your wooden door periodically. It is very important for your wooden door to have an protective seal on it to keep it safe from the elemens and also helps to keep it clean after extended use. Wipe your wooden door thoroughly earlier you apply any finishing stain or paint.
  • Finally, sanitize the fixtures as you clean your wooden door, make sure to periodically clean any fixture. Clean all the door knobs, use a regular all purpose cleaner or you can also use a vinegar & water to wipe down & sanitize both sides of your door knobs.
