Proper Way For Cleaning The Unfinished Wood Drawers

The Unfinished wooden drawers have not been coated, sealed or even finished. The unfinished wood quickly absorbs water and other liquids easier than finished or the sealed woods. Therefore, it's advised when cleaning the unfinished wood or drawers, all the harsh chemicals should be avoided and care should be taken in not saturating the wood. If in case, the water or chemicals are absorbed in the wood, it can make the wood to discolor or warp the wood. An unfinished wooden drawer should only be cleaned as needed. The proper and the best way of cleaning the unfinished wooden drawers are as follows:

Dust and dirt

  1. Use A Soft Brush: The first step is to use a soft brush for removing all the small pieces of debris that is trapped inside the grooves as well as in the ridges of the unfinished wooden drawers. The user should use the soft brush to wipe away anything that is caught in the crevices and then vacuum it up. In order to achieve the best results use a flicking motion with the bristles on the surface of the wood.

  4. Dry And Sprinkle Baking Soda: Use a dry towel in order to completely dry the drawer. Then sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of the drawer and leave for a couple of hours. Then use a vacuum cleaner or simply handheld vacuum to remove the baking soda.
