Silk drapes are usually made of delicate materials, as a result, cleaning silk drapes can be a little bit tricky. - White Vinegar

Step 1: Place Drapes In Cool Water
The first and the foremost step is to fill the bathtub with cool water and then put your drapes in the bathtub filled with cool water or you can also place them in a sink, which is totally dependent on the size of the drapes. Make sure to cover the entire fabric so that it soaks up rigorously.
Step 2: Add Detergent
Now, mix a mild detergent or soap to the cool water with the drapes. Allow the drapes absorb in the soapy water for a sometime in order to make sure that the stains have been removed completely. Firmly rub the fabric together to get rid of the stains if necessary.
Step 3: Drain And Refill
Next, you have to drain out the soapy water from the bathtub or sink when you feel that the drapes have been cleaned. As soon as the water is drained, again fill your bathtub or sink with cool water in order to make sure to get rid of all the soap from the fabric.
Step 4: Add Vinegar & Remove Water
In order to keep your fabric from discoloration, vinegar will play a huge role, so add some vinegar to the water. It is suggested not to keep the fabric in water to rinse for a longer time period. Drain out the water from the sink or bathtub and take the fabric out. Make sure not to squeeze out the water in the fabric due to the reason that this will only damage the delicate material. Alternately, put in the drapes on a towel and pat dry. This will help get rid of the majority of the excess water, so the drapes are not soaking wet.
Step 6: Hang To Dry & Iron
Don't put these drapes in a dryer due to the reason that the material will get damaged. Instead, you can simply hang your drapes on a clothesline or you can also place them over a shower curtain rod. Finally, it is time to iron the drapes keeping your iron setting low & make sure not to use steam.
