5 Easy Steps And Useful Tips Of Cleaning The Quartz Composite Sinks

Quartz composite is actually a man-made material, which is composed of the natural quartz combined with the acrylic resin generally in the 80%/20% ratio. The granite composite is the same material, that is made of the granite mixed with the resin. The stone composite sinks are usually highly durable and look like the natural stone at a lower price. The steps for cleaning the quartz composite sinks are as follows:
  1. The first step is to moisten all the surfaces that are to be cleaned. A user can use the spray nozzle which works well for this job.
  2. After the above step is done then sprinkle some of the bar keepers friend powder on the damp surfaces.
  3. Scrub the surfaces with the help of a nylon brush. Add more water if required so that the cleaner will not get dry on the surface of the sink.
  4. Rinse thoroughly using the clean water. Take a soft cloth or simply the nylon brush to clean away any of the residue that user is rinsing.
  5. Dry with the help of a towel. Repeat if required until all of the quartz composite sink is cleaned.

Additional Tips And Advice

  • If preferred, the user can also use the white vinegar to clean the sink or any dishes in it. For that pour one part of the vinegar with the two parts of water in a spray bottle and then use as required.
  • It is advisable to never use the strong alkalis like ammonia or the caustic soda solutions to clean the quartz. The user must also avoid the use of the drain unclogging chemicals which needs to fill out the sink while they work.
  • The other point to note is to not clean with the harsh abrasive powders or pads. This is because the scratches that they leave behind will make the sink more prone to stains.
  • Clean the sink regularly with the help of a mild detergent. Wipe the smooth surfaces with the help of a clean cloth, and also use a nylon brush for the textured areas.
  • The bar keepers friend is mostly available at supermarkets and hardware stores, or online. For this purpose, it is one of the best-powdered version to use.
