1. Vacuum: The first step is to vacuum the mattress to clean all the dirt and grime. While vacuuming use the soft brush attachment to the vacuum cleaner for the cleaning. Try to vacuum in the circular motion.
2. Cleaner: For the spot cleaning either use the enzymatic cleaner like OxiClean or a homemade solution. In order to make a homemade solution please mix the equal parts of the water, white distilled vinegar, and lemon juice mix all the items together.
3. Apply: Now apply the cleaner on the affected area with the help of the toothbrush, the best way to apply the cleaner starting from the outside and then working towards the center.
4. Soak: Leave the cleaner on the stained area for about 15 minutes, the soaking will help to break the stain which in turn makes it easy to rinse later.

2. Washing Machine: The next step is to put the mattress pad in the washing machine add mild laundry detergent. Set the water setting at the warm or cool.
3. Dry: Now dry the mattress pad in the dryer and add two tennis balls or a rubber ball to the dryer but keep the balls in the old clean sock. This will help to maintain the fluffiness of the pad.
