Way 1: Daily Cleaning

  1. Solution: For the daily cleaning make a solution by mixing the dishwashing soap and water in a spray bottle and then shake the bottle. To make everyday cleanser for the marble countertop, then fill out the spray bottle halfway to about three-quarters full with the warm water. Put about 1 tablespoon of gentle and non-abrasive dishwashing soap in the spray bottle and shake well. It's advisable to not use an abrasive as well as an acidic cleaner on marble countertops as it can damage the surface, also avoid soaps or the cleansers that contain citrus juices, like lemon, or vinegar.

Once the stain removes, then use a clean cloth to wipe up any excess cleaner. At last, buff the area with a clean, dry cloth. The users are advised to use only one cleaner on the stain and do not mix them, because this can be very harmful. In particular, don't mix up the bleach and ammonia, this is due to the fact that it can produce toxic fumes once they are combined.
  3. Organic Or Food Stains: For the organic stains mix a few drops of ammonia in the 12% hydrogen peroxide solution. Simply dab the solution on the affected area until it removes. Once it's lifted then wipe the area clean using a wet cloth and buff the area with the help of clean, dry cloth.
  4. Stubborn Stain: For the stubborn stains mix the poultice as this will help to lift any stubborn stains. Simply spread the poultice over the affected area and cover it. Spread it over the stained area on the countertop with the plastic putty knife. After that cut out a piece of plastic wrap to cover all the poultice and secure it in place with the help of painter’s tape. For the ventilation poke a few holes in the plastic once it’s in place.
  5. Let The Poultice To Dry: Let the poultice to sit on affected area for 24 hours. In case of a fresh, light stain, 10 hours may be sufficient time. For the best results wait a full 24 hours to be safe. After that scrape off the poultice, remove the plastic covering then use a putty knife to carefully scrape away the poultice. Wipe out the surface using a clean towel as this will help to make sure that the stain has totally disappeared.
  6. Rinse: After the poultice is removed then rinse the countertop with the warm water, simply wet a clean cloth using warm water and wipe down the countertop to remove any remaining residue. At last buff, the marble gently for the attractive finish, with the soft towel.
