In case the user is unable to find the manufacturer's tags, he can check out the written material that came along the leather chair at the time of purchase in order to see leather cleaning tips & tags. For extreme cases where the user is unable to determine the type of leather, he can consider the leather chair made of top-coat protected leather because most of the leather furniture products are made of it. Generally, in order to clean this leather, the solution of mild body soap and water is very much safe.
  2. Vacuum The Leather Chair:
Before the user begins the cleaning process, he needs to vacuum the whole chair. By vacuuming regularly, the user can prevent his leather chair from wear & tear. It has been recommended to use a soft brush attachment on to the vacuum for better results. The user needs to run the vacuum over the chair in a way so that he gets the dust off in between cushions, cracks, or crevices. After finishing the vacuuming, the user needs to wipe out the whole chair using a microfiber or cotton cloth.
  3. Prepare A Cleaner:
The next step for the user will be to prepare a cleaner by mixing a mild liquid soap in distilled water. The mixture will be ready to use once suds form at the surface.
  4. Wipe Down The Chair With Mixture:
Before wiping down the whole chair, the user needs to check the mixture on a small area. If the user doesn't see any damage on to the area, he can proceed forward by dipping the rag into the solution and wringing out thoroughly. After that, the user needs to wipe out the whole chair with a rag dipped in a mixture. Once completed, he needs to clean the chair with another rag soaked in distilled water. The third rag can be used to dry off the chair.
  5. Condition The Leather Chair:
The last step in the process will be to condition the leather chair in order to restore its natural oils. Olive oil can be used to condition the leather chair. The user needs to add olive oil on to a dry cloth and rub the leather surface with it until it gives a clear shine.

The below-given ways can be followed to remove different types of stains from the leather chair:
  1. For Greasy Stains:
In order to remove greasy stains from the leather chair, the user needs to wipe down the stain first using a dry cloth. If the stain remains, the user needs to sprinkle the affected area with baking powder and leave it for a few hours before brushing it off gently using a rag. Baking powder is used because it helps to draw out the grease from the leather.
  2. For Ink Stains:
Ink stains can be treated by using rubbing alcohol on to it. The user needs to get a cotton swab and dab some rubbing alcohol on to it. The cotton swab can then be used to wipe out the stain from the leather. The method can also be used to remove Mold & Mildew from the leather chair.

Once the mixture is ready, the user needs to apply it on to the stained areas and wait for about 10 - 15 minutes. After that, the user needs to wipe the whole mixture on a chair using a damp cloth.

The marker stains on leather furniture can be removed by hairspray. The user needs to use aerosol hairspray on to the stained areas.
